In the 19th century this popular style of ring was referred to as a "Cigar Band." Very thin and rather wide, the band resembles the paper bands that were placed around cigars. This Edwardian example is made of luxe 18ct yellow gold, engraved with an elaborate pattern of flowers and crosses. This gorgeous band is hallmarked for England, Birmingham, 18ct and the years 1914-15.
