These sterling silver earrings are engraved to depict the Native American Corn Maiden figures. The lovely engravings dangle on sterling silver French ear wires. Marked on the back "STERLING" and signed "WA," possibly for Navajo artist William Anderson. Circa 1980.
Across Native American cultures, the Corn Maidens symbolize the prayers of the people for a bountiful harvest.
Details.....The earrings measure 2.15" long. The Maidens measure 14.9mm by 37.1mm. In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should expect some wear on all vintage and antique jewels, we consider it part of their charm.
