We have come upon a small collection of interesting and beautiful vintage amber and silver rings. These rings are a bit of a mystery to us, and our research has not yet unearthed identifying information about them. They are reminiscent of some wonderful Polish and Latvian rings, but we have been unable to make a direct connection. If you have any thoughts we would love to hear them.
This captivating ring is set with a cabochon of intense yellow, opaque egg yolk amber. The amber stands proud, clasped in eight prongs made of long, thin silver strips. The amber sits above a round dome of 800 grade silver. The dome has a scalloped edge, it is pierced with decorative holes and embellished with twisted wire and beads. The decorative top sits above a half round band that is split, so the size may be adjusted somewhat. The interior of the band is marked "800" and W.S." An interesting piece with a Brutalist aesthetic, the ring feels both ancient and futuristic.
Details.....Currently a size 7.75, with a split, adjustable band. For a fee, silver rings can usually be sized within two sizes. Please contact us for sizing information about this ring. The top of the ring measures 26mm in diameter and 15.5mm in profile. The band measures 3.4mm wide. In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels, we consider it part of the charm.
