European Chatelaine with Heart Perfume Flacon

This incredible European chatelaine with matching heart-shaped perfume flacon displays the romantic Renaissance Revival flavor the Victorians loved. A clip hangs the chatelaine from a belt or waistband. The chatelaine is formed by three graduated and hinged panels that suspend the heart-shaped perfume bottle from a chain. The bottle's stopper is in the shape of a flame. The silver gilt jewel is engraved and embellished with black and white enamel. Garnet and turquoise cabochons stud the ornate silver work, set in pretty scalloped collets. The clip bears European hallmarks. Such a rare treasure. Circa 1850.

Details.....This jewel measures 5" long and .80" wide. The heart-shaped flacon measures .95" by 1.45". In Very Good Antique Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels, we consider it part of their charm.
