Truly a piece of the past. This long chain is made of woven hair, there is a black tracery enamel gold filled slide on it which moves up or down the necklace. The hook at the bottom makes this a very versatile piece, hand a pendant, locket, fob or just about anything from it. The necklace also has its original barrel clasp at the back. Circa 1860.
Details.....The necklace measures 53" long, the slide measures 12.1mm x 10.5mm, the hook measures 18.8mm long. In Very good antique condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels, we consider it part of their charm.
