Extraordinary Antique Rose Cut Diamond Ring

A firework display of glittering rose-cut diamonds paves this gorgeous ring. The center diamond is an incredible, high-domed 6.5mm rose-cut, surrounded by 15 tiny rose-cut diamonds. Circling the outer edge are a further 15 rose-cut diamonds. The double ring of rose cuts really makes the center stone pop. The diamonds are set in platinum, layered over exquisitely engraved 14k gold. Antique diamonds were cut to sparkle in low light, lighting of the time was either candles or gaslights. This beauty is so over-the-top brilliant it sparkles madly in any light. A stunning and a rare find. Circa 1910.

Diamond details...The diamonds have an approximate total weight of 1.75ct, with VS-SI clarity and G-H-I color; the weight is approximate as the weight of rose cuts can not be calculated by the standard measurement formula. Rose-cut diamonds can have a fluid shape; not all of these diamonds are perfectly round.

Details..... Currently a size 8.5. The top of the ring measures 13.5mm in diameter, the band is 1.3mm wide. In Very Good Antique Condition. You should expect all vintage and antique jewels to show some wear; we consider it part of their charm.
