Fabulous Sterling Silver & Malachite Concho Belt

A fabulous concho belt of sterling silver and gorgeous green malachite. The scalloped oval conchos are linked by large silver rings. Malachite cabochons sit in sawtooth bezels, placed at each concho's center. This belt is very supple, it lays wonderfully over the hips. It fastens with a hook clasp that is signed "T" by its maker. Bohemian beauty, this will elevate all your favorite summer dresses.Circa 1980.

Conchos are metal disks traditionally used with Western horseback riding saddles. The discs are usually constructed with two slits, allowing saddle strings to pass through the concho to secure the saddle's skirts to the saddle tree.

Details.....The belt is 38" long, the conchos measure .84" by 1.47". In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on your vintage and antique jewels; we consider it part of their charm.
