We have come upon a small collection of interesting and beautiful vintage amber and silver rings. These rings are a bit of a mystery to us, and our research has not yet unearthed identifying information about them. They are reminiscent of some wonderful Polish and Latvian rings, but we have been unable to make a direct connection. If you have any thoughts we would love to hear them.
This fascinating ring is set with a cabochon of rich, honey-colored amber with dreamy inclusions of suspended flora. The amber stands proud, clasped in eight prongs made of long, thin silver strips. The amber sits above a round dome of silver. The dome has a scalloped edge, it is pierced with decorative holes and embellished with twisted wire and beads. The decorative top sits above a simple half round band. An interesting piece with a Brutalist aesthetic, the ring feels both ancient and futuristic.
Details.....Currently a size 8.25. For a fee, silver rings can usually be sized within two sizes. Please contact us for sizing information about this ring. The top of the ring measures 26mm in diameter and 15.1mm in profile. The band measures 2.9mm wide. In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels, we consider it part of the charm.
