Copper jewels were all the rage from the late 1940s to the mid-1960s. From designer firms like Renoir and Matisse to small studio artists, this trend produced fabulous wearable art. This necklace is a stunning example of the latter, beautifully made yet unsigned. A pectoral of oval copper plaques, alternating in size, hang on a heavy copper rope chain. The plaques are slightly concave and catch the light in a way that accentuates the gorgeous glow of the copper. Circa 1950.

Details.....The necklace is 28.8" long, the decorative segment measures 13.5" wide and the largest copper ovals are 1.25" long. In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should expect some wear on all vintage and antique jewels, we consider it part of their charm.
