Fire Opal in Sterling Silver Ring
A chunky fire opal, full of rich iridescent colors, is set in a sterling silver setting. The opal is set in a hand-cut sawtooth bezel with an applied silver leaf curling around the stone. A detail of silver twist frames the top of the ring, which sits over split shoulders tapering into a slim band. The back of the ring is marked "Sterling" and "LGJ". Circa 1970.

It measures 19.6mm by 22.9mm at the top, and 3.8mm at the band. In Very Good Vintage Condition. All vintage items will show some wear; it is considered part of their charm.
