Fleur de Lis Chatelaine Brooch by Carl-Art Co.
An elegant fleur de lis brooch sculpted with an almost architectural stateliness. This Victorian Revival brooch is made of, and marked for, bright, shiny 1/20 12k gold filled metal. The back has a safety clasp closure and a chatelaine hook meant for hanging a tiny watch or locket. The back is signed CA shot through with an arrow, the mark for Carl-Art Company. Circa 1940.
The Carl-Art Company was created in 1936 by partners Carl Schraysshuen and Arthur Loercher. The company produced higher end gold, silver or gold-filled jewels. The company merged with Vargas in the early 1980s.
Details.....The brooch measures 1.28" by 0.96". In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels, we consider it a part of their charm.
