This Edwardian English medal fob has an Arts & Crafts flair. The sterling silver fob is shaped like a shield topped with a scrolling banner. An applied gold shield sits at the center of the medal, framed with an engraved laurel wreath. The back of the fob is engraved "Sleaford Cup 1905-06 H. Batty." This pretty and sporty fob will make a lovely statement worn on one of our Ancient Influences married chains.

The back of the medal is hallmarked for Birmingham, sterling silver and the year 1905. It is signed with the maker's mark V&S for Birmingham silver smith Vaughton & SonsSleaford Town Football Club is based in Sleaford, Lincolshire, England. At the time H. Batty won the cup, Sleaford Town F.C. competed as the Northamptonshire League.

Details.....The medal measures 1.11" by 1.54". In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels, we consider it part of the charm.
