Fun & Colorful Mosaic Inlay Shell Earrings
Fun and colorful Santo Domingo mosaic inlay shell earrings. The bright blue turquoise inlay has an onyx and turquoise checkerboard border over the creamsicle orange clamshell. The shells are drilled, hung on silver wire, and dangle from sterling silver ball post earrings. Circa 1980.
This wonderful style of inlaid shell originates with the Kewa Pueblo, previously known as the Pueblo of Santo Domingo, people of New Mexico.
Details.....The earrings measure 1.82" long, the shells are 1.45" by 1.80". In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on your vintage and antique jewels, we consider it part of the charm.
