A sweet and lovely pair of Georgian Paste and pearl Ear drops.

These earrings are done in Cannetille which was a popular style of Gold work during the later part of the 1700's, gold was very scarce and Cannetille afforded you the luxury of great detail with a minimum of gold. The term is used to describe a gold or silver thread with a spiral twist. This pair of earrings is set with oval Citrine colored Pastes that are foiled and closed backed to get the maximum  reflective sparkle out of the low light conditions of the period, the pastes are flanked by pearls. All of the "gems" are set in typically Georgian crimped bezels.
