Just on the longer side of matinee length, this strand of glossy white cultured pearls makes an elegant statement. The nicely matched pearls are hand-knotted on white silk and finished with a 14k white gold filigreed bead clasp. Definitely clutch-worthy. Circa 1950.
Cultured pearls are created by adding an irritant, such as a grain of sand or small bead, to a pearl oyster to encourage it to cover the irritant in nacre, thus creating a pearl.
Details....The necklace is 25.5" long, and the pearls measure 7.5mm in diameter. In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on Vintage and Antique Jewels; we consider it a part of the charm.
