Gold Georgian Garnet Heart Lock Necklace

200 year old Beauty. This 18k gold Georgian heart is set with a juicy deep red cabochon garnet in a dotted bezel. The heart itself is covered in flowers and vines so deeply carved like a tapestry in gold. The back of the heart holds a crystal covered compartment. I have suspended the heart clasp from a double grooved 15k gold chain from the mid 1800's and attached it so it cannot slip off for worry free wear. You can open the necklace either with the spring ring or by opening the hearts clasp. The heart dates from circa 1800. The golds of the chain and heart are rich and beautiful as only old gold can be.

Details.....The heart measures 1.20" x .73" and the chain is 19.5" long and 3.5mm in thickness. The heart shows wear to the back.
