Green Garnet Set Double Snake Ring in Rose Gold

Two sweet, scaled snakes curl up together, each set with a glittering green Tsavorite garnet in their foreheads. Thoughtfully cast in rosy 9ct gold and beautifully engraved; the rose gold is a perfect compliment to the vibrant grass green of the sparkling garnets. The garnets have a 0.50tcw. Jewels in the form of snakes were often given as love tokens in the Victorian era, they symbolize eternal love. This ring would make a lovely engagement or wedding ring, its beauty speaks to the connection and contentment of two beings. The ring has English hallmarks in the shank for Birmingham and 9ct gold. Circa 1870.
