The matte black of gunmetal was all the rage during the last half of the 19th century. It's dark color lent itself perfectly to the fashion of mourning jewelry during Queen Victoria's reign. This lovely Ladies Pendant Watch is gunmetal with applied fancy initials on the reverse. The dial is black and the watch has gold details which give a great contrast. The watch is a regular wind with a lever set. To set the watch you push the inset button to the side of the top hook and hold it down while setting the time.
