Handsome Victorian Sterling Silver Locket

This handsome sterling silver locket is a fine example of Victorian fashion, large silver lockets were very à la mode for daytime wear at this time. The tasteful oval locket is embellished, front and back, with stepped rings and beading. It's back is hand engraved with a monogram that reads, perhaps, "ECR." Its interior is in good, clean condition, without frames or glass but with green pinstriped paper. The locket's generous bale allows it to be easily worn on a ribbon, chain, or watch hook. Circa 1890.
Details.....The locket measures 1.05" by 1.40", 1.75" with bale. In Very Good Antique Condition. In vintage and antique pieces small imperfections are to be expected and considered part of their charm.
