Heart & Ivy Engraved 9ct Locket with Photos

This charming Victorian 9ct gold locket is engraved, front and back, with ivy leaves. The round locket's front has a heart-shaped shield on the field of leaves, blank and ready to be engraved with a personal inscription. The locket's interior holds two antique photographs of a distinguished man with piercing eyes and a luxuriant mustache. In one photo, the man is wearing a soldier's uniform, probably a British WWI uniform. In the other, he is in shirt sleeves wearing suspenders. The piece closes tightly and finishes with a handy added jump ring. The back is marked "9ct Back & Front." Circa 1890.

Details.....The locket measures .88" in diameter. The modern 10k gold rope chain is 18" long. In Very Good Antique Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique pieces; we consider it part of the charm.
