Heavy 18k Vintage Coptic Cross

This is a gorgeous heavy 18k gold hand crafted Coptic Cross. The history of this style of cross is North African, some of the earliest Christians were in Egypt and upper Africa and this is the style of cross they wore. This luxurious example is hinged between the top panel and the cross which adds an extra decorative element and ease of wear. Completely made by hand and covered in hand engraved detail. The cross is pictured on a 20k gold chain in the last picture, the chain is sold separately. The cross dates from the late 20th century, is 18k yellow gold, and weighs 20.9 grams.
Details.....The cross measures 1.25" x 1.27" and is 2mm thick. In Excellent Vintage Condition, displaying almost no wear.
