Keep your powder dry in this utterly charming Jazz Age enameled silver box. The top of the small, round 935 silver box is decorated with pale aqua-blue guilloché enamel. The hinged box opens to reveal a mirror under its lid and a powder puff. The puff has a tiny round celluloid handle attached with a pink satin ribbon. Absolutely adorable. Nearly one hundred years ago a fashionable flapper used this to powder her nose after working up a glow doing the Charleston. Just imagine. This piece is in very good, usable condition. Circa 1920.

Guilloché enamel is a decorative technique in which a very precise, repetitive pattern is machine engraved into metal, then covered with a layer of translucent enamel. The intricate engraved geometric patterns are visible through the enamel.

Details.....The box measures 1.56" in diameter and 0.70" tall. In Very Good Antique Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels, we consider it part of their charm.
