A lush and juicy amethyst is cut en cabochon to resemble a piece of ripe fruit. The amethyst is jauntily set in 14k gold, with engraved, openwork leaves. A split bale is cleverly positioned to resemble the fruit's stem. The back of the pendant is marked "967" and "J.T.C." It hangs on a modern 14k rope chain. Circa 1960.
"J.T.C." stands for "Jewelry Trade Corporation," a trademark of the Zale Corporation. Zales Jewelers first opened on March 29, 1924, in Wichita Falls, Texas, and continues to sell fine jewelry to this day.
Details.....The chain is 16" long. The pendant measures 10.2mm by 22.6mm. In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on your vintage and antique jewels, we consider it part of their charm.
