Two sweet putti recline against a graceful urn in this richly detailed Cini brooch. Sterling silver is worked into lacy, almost Baroque forms. Airy and light yet generously sized, this vintage brooch makes a striking romantic statement. Signed "Cini" and "Sterling." Circa 1950.
The Cini jewelry company produced beautiful jewels, predominately sterling silver pieces that feature classical, gothic and renaissance motifs and design influences. Between 1922 and 1970 Cini made some of the highest quality American jewelry of the 20th Century.
