Large and Extra Long Antique Gold Slide Chain

It isn't often we find one of these wonderful extra long and big slide chains, and this one is exceptional. The chain is 12k gold and the slide and hook are 14k, wonderful rich old real gold. Slide chains were originally designed to hold a ladies watch, but the swivel hook makes them very versatile and they can be worn in many ways. This chain can be doubled for a shorter look and you can hang pendants, fobs, lockets, or whatever strikes your fancy from the hook. The pearl set black tracery enamel slide moves up and down the chain and helps distribute the weight of whatever is suspended from the hook. It weighs 30.8 grams and dates from the 1870's.

Details.....The chain measures 60" long, the slide measures .95" x .73" and the hook is 0.86" long. In Very Good Antique condition. You should always expect some wear on your vintage and antique jewels, we consider it part of their charm.
