Large Birks Sterling Reliquary Cross

This beautiful Sterling silver cross was made by Birks. The cross is engraved on both sides and I believe is a reliquary for a Catholic Saint. One side shows a pierced heart and the other a flaming heart. The cross opens, alas it is empty, but it is very interesting. A very large scale I believe it dates to the turn of the century. I believe there is a reference to Saint Gonzalez.
Details.....This cross measures 3.27" long and 1.56" wide. It has a lovely patina and is in excellent condition.
