This sweet little Hopi Corn Maiden pendant is finely carved from shell. She wears the squash blossom hairstyle of an unmarried Hopi woman. The Maiden has a silver wire bale and she hangs on a modern sterling silver box chain. Circa 1970.

Across Native American cultures, the Corn Maidens symbolize the prayers of the people for a bountiful harvest.

Details.....The chain is 18" long. The Maiden measures 1.47" by 0.53". In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should expect some wear on all vintage and antique jewels, we consider it part of their charm.
