A lovely slide chain from the late 1800's with a brightly enameled Art Nouveau flower slide set with a small paste. The slide glides on the chain and stays where you put it. Slide chains were originally designed to hold a ladies watch and can still be used for this, but they are so versatile. This chain can be doubled for a shorter look, and you can hang pendants, fobs, lockets, or whatever strikes your fancy from the hook. The slide and the chain are heavy gold filled. Circa 1890.
Details.....The chain measures 48" Long, the slide measures 12.9mm x 9.7mm, and the hook is .71" long. In excellent Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on your vintage and antique jewels, we consider it part of their charm.
