This Early Victorian amazonite ring is absolutely incredible, so striking and unusual. A oval of pleasantly mottled blue-green amazonite is prong set in an elaborately worked sterling silver setting. The top plaque of the ring displays a lovely geometry and the shoulders are decorated with a floral and vine design. The name "Lucero" is hand engraved on the outside of the back of the band. A beautiful and fascinating mystery. Circa 1850-1860.

Amazonite is a favourite gem of ours, its color is so unique and pleasing. The gem was treasured by many early civilizations and is a great stone to wear in the modern world too: it is believed to absorb microwaves and cell phone emanations, and defend against electromagnetic pollution.

Details.....Currently a size 6. For a fee, silver rings can usually be sized within two sizes. Please contact us for sizing information about this ring. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique pieces, we consider it part of the charm.
