This beautifully constructed bracelet is sleek and the abalone is simply luminous. Abalone ovals are framed in sterling silver to create this bracelet's links. The clasp is signed Taxco and FRA. This piece dates from the 1940s, a high point in silver jewelry design in Mexico. Taxco, Mexico drew jewelry artists from all over the world. The main attraction for the designers and studio jewelers was the locally mined supply of materials, silver and semi precious gems were abundant and affordable.
