Mary, Queen of Scots Cameo Pendant

This Victorian pendant features a black and white agate cameo one one side and a lovely tablet of jasper on the other. The woman's face is carved from the white band of a banded agate, it stands out dramatically from the black band background. The cameo depicts an aristocratic woman of the Tudor era...possible Mary, Queen of Scots?  The jasper is richly pigmented. The stones are set in a gold filled frame. This pendant comes on a modern gold filled chain, but we also think this beauty would look spectacular worn on a narrow black velvet ribbon. Circa 1880-1890. 

Description.....The pendant measures 0.70" by 1.21". The modern gold filled chain is 18" long. In Very Good vintage condition. You should always expect some wear on Vintage and Antique jewels we consider it a part pf their charm.
