Mesmerizing "Shalako" Mosaic Band by Tim Charley

This sterling silver band, signed by artist Tim Charley, is set with a mesmerizing mosaic of deep purple sugilite, black-shattered turquoise, and fiery opal inlay. Charley refers to this gorgeous combination of gemstones as "Shalako." The stones are meticulously cut and channel set across the top of the sleek silver ring. Crisp graduated cut work rectangles adorn the band's tapered shoulders. This ring is a nice, large size. Circa 1980.

Tim Charley is a Navajo silversmith and a member of a group known as The Supersmiths. Their jewelry is known for its fine craftsmanship, specializing in channel, mosaic, and cobbled inlay designs.

Details.....Currently a size 11. The top of the ring measures 10.4mm wide and tapers to a 5.1mm band. In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels, we consider it part of their charm.
