Mid Century Modernist Silver Bangle Bracelet

The modernist movement of the mid 20th century often embodies ideals and elements from previous design movements as is seen in this bangle bracelet. The curvaceous and sinuous lines are reminiscent of the art movements at the turn of the 20th century, but the boldness and heavy weight of the piece is more typical of the mid-century. This bangle is marked on the inside for 800 silver and bears a makers mark of JLB stylized in a circle. Silver with a fineness of 800 was common in several Central European Countries during this period.

Sterling Silver is a fineness of 92.5 which means the piece is 92.5% silver and 7.5% alloys, 800 silver is 80% silver and 20% alloys.

Measurements: 4.9mm thick, an inside circumference of 2.6". This bracelet is better suited to a medium to large wrist.
