Mid Century Pearl & Sterling Silver Solitaire Ring

A single glowing pearl sits at the heart of this Mid Century ring. Long curling prongs gently embrace the bright white pearl amidst sterling silver swirls. The top of the ring sits over pinched shoulders and a slender band. Coolly elegant. Circa 1960.

Pearls were first cultured in 1893 by Mikimoto. Cultured pearls are created by adding an irritant, such as a grain of sand or small bead, to a pearl oyster to encourage it to cover the irritant in nacre, thus creating a pearl.

Details.....Currently a size 6.25. The top of the ring measures 11.5mm in diameter, and the band is 1.7mm wide. The pearl is 7.5mm in diameter. In Very Good Vintage condition. You should expect all vintage and antique jewels to show some wear; we consider it part of their charm.
