This vintage archeological reproduction hails from the Metropolitan Museum of Art's 1976 King Tut exhibit. A fascinating strand of cylindrical turquoise-colored faience and gilt beads is finished with a gilt hook and eye clasp, each piece shaped as the Eye of Horus. The back of the clasp is signed "MMA 1976". A gorgeous and wearable memento of a historic exhibit. Circa 1976.

The Eye of Horus is an ancient Egyptian symbol that represents well-being, healing, and protection. Horus is the falcon-headed god; the son of Osiris and Isis, the divine child of the holy family triad.

Details.....The necklace is 18" long and the beads measure 7.8mm wide. In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique pieces; we consider it part of the charm.
