This signed bracelet is in the Celtic Arts and Crafts style that Murrle Bennett was well known for. The links alternate between intricately woven Celtic knots and plaques set with rich natural purple amethysts. There is a hammered texture over the whole of the bracelet. Complete with the original clasp and safety chain, this piece is in excellent condition. Circa 1908.
Murrle Bennett was well known for their beautifully crafted Jewelry. Active from 1884 to 1914 in London the company was founded by Ernest Murrle and JB Bennett. They created lovely pieces in the prevailing styles of the time.
Sterling Silver is 92.5 parts out of 100 silver with 7.5 parts being alloys. The higher silver content of Murrle Bennett pieces is 950 with 95 parts silver and only 5 parts alloys.
Details.....Measures 7.5" long and 0.48" wide. In Excellent vintage condition with patina intact. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels, we consider it part of the charm.
