This Murrle Bennett Arts & Crafts necklace reflects the graceful lines, organic textures, and natural elements that the company was well known for. The 950 silver pendant is bell-shaped, with delicate tendrils looping over the piece, and a hammered finish dimpling the its surface. An oval blister pearl is set in an engraved gold bezel. A natural river pearl drop hangs from the base. The fascinating pendant hangs on a silver cable chain. Marked "MB" for Murrle Bennet. Murrle Bennett was a London company, active from 1884 to 1914, known for crafting lovely jewelry in the prevailing styles of the day. Circa 1910.

The Arts and Crafts movement was a response to the decline in production standards associated with the Industrial Revolution; its philosophy centered craftsmanship and quality materials. This influential movement originated in the British Isles during the late Victorian period, reforming the design and manufacture of everything from buildings to jewelry.

Details.....The chain is 19" long. The pendant measures 1.05 by 1.70", 2" with drop. In Very Good Antique Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels; we consider it part of the charm.
