This wonderful antique necklace of tortoiseshell and horn is a strange and unusual Victorian beauty. The chain is composed of oval horn bars along with round and oval tortoiseshell links. This chain suspends a drop that ends in a tortoiseshell disc, beautifully carved with a pierced design of hearts and flowers. The necklace clasps with a tortoiseshell hook and eye closure. This piece is delicate and rare, a fine addition to your Victoriana collection. Circa 1880.
Details.....The necklace has a 24” wearable length, the drop measures 4" long, and the pendant is 2.17" wide. In Very Good Antique Condition. Small imperfections and wear should be expected on Vintage and Antique jewels and considered part of the charm.
