Chandelier Paste Earrings Dripping with Sparkle

Gem Set Love

So elegant, these chandelier earrings are dripping with sparkle. They remind us of 18th Century jewels; however, they were made during the Art Deco era. The body of the earrings are 935 silver (slightly higher silver content than 925 sterling), shaped rather like ornate bells. The silver is covered with dazzling paste gems, prong-set in closed back settings. Three graceful dangles swing from the bottom of each earring, perfect movement for catching the light. The sterling silver ear wires are a modern replacement. These gorgeous jewels would make spectacular bridal earrings. Circa 1920.

Paste gems are leaded glass gems formed in molds and then polished to resemble diamonds or gemstones. With better quality pastes facets could even be cut and polished like natural gems.

Details..... The earrings measure 2.45" long and 0.80" across their widest point. In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels, we consider it part of the charm.
