Pennino Blue & White Rhinestone Blossom Earrings

Darling blue and white rhinestone blossom earrings. The sparkling flowers are wreathed in curling silver "ribbons." Very well made, the stones are prong-set in sterling silver. The clip-on earrings are easy to wear whether or not your ears are pierced. Signed "Sterling Pennino Pat.Pend." Circa 1945.

The Pennino family were fine jewelers in Italy before immigrating to the United States in the early 1900s. Otto, Frank, and Jack Pennino founded Pennino Brothers in 1926. The company's high-quality costume jewelry could be found in many elite retail stores, including Saks Fifth Avenue.
