This very pretty pendant is a 10k yellow gold navette set with a lab created ruby. So delicate, it reminds us of a butterfly's wing. The new technology of creating synthetic gemstones was all the rage in the early 20th Century. The pendant is pierced with elegant openwork and the square ruby is set on point in a milgrained bezel. This pendant is a conversion jewel, re-purposed from a brooch into a pendant. So beautiful, and a perfect gift for a July baby. The pendant hangs from a 10k gold box chain. Circa 1940.
Details....The chain is 18" long and the pendant measures 1.35" by 0.47". In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels, we consider it part of the charm.
