In immaculate condition with all of the original engraved details intact I wonder if this beauty was ever worn. The center holds a cushion cut garnet set on point with a cushion cut emerald to each side and a pearl surround. All of the gems are original and natural. The shoulders have a raised feather design set above a stippled background. The profile of the top of the ring has lovely curliques of applied gold and all but the garnet are in closed settings. The inside of the back of the band is hallmarked for Birmingham 15ct and the date letter for 1872-3. This ring is completely handmade using techniques that were more common in the late 1700's than in the latter half of the 1800's, you can see the love the jeweler put into it.
Details.....Currently a size 7, we offer one free sizing. The ring measures 10.4mm x 15.1mm at the gem set top, and 3.5mm at the shoulder. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels but in this case it is hard to find.
