Rare 18k Gold Zodiac Symbol Band

The stars have aligned, bringing us this Victorian band with a unique zodiac sign motif. The wide, flat, 18k gold band is quite substantial. A shallow channel girds the band, inset with applied gold zodiac symbols. Delicate gold chains edge the channel, adding texture and sparkle. Victorians loved the romance of astrology and other forms of mysticism; this exciting jewel is a rare token of this fascination. Circa 1860.

Details.....This ring measures a size 6 on a mandrel; because of the width, it fits like a 5.5.  It cannot be sized. The band measures 10.2mm wide. Please remember that a band this wide will fit tighter on the finger. In Excellent Antique Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique pieces; we consider it part of the charm.
