Repoussé Flower Heart Lock Bracelet by Walter Lampl
The 19th-century classic heart lock bracelet is reinterpreted in the 1940s by Walter Lampl. A sterling silver curb chain bracelet fastens with a heart lock embellished with a repoussé flower motif. The lightweight links are engraved with a delicate ribbed texture, a nod to the piece's (relatively) modern origins. The lock is a spring ring clasp; it looks Victorian but is much easier to use than the original styles. Stamped on the back is Walter Lampl's maker's mark. This love token bracelet is so sweet and would make a romantic charm bracelet. Circa 1940.
Walter Lampl's motto was "Creators of the Unusual, As Usual." He produced fine and costume jewelry in his eponymous company from 1926 to 1945. Lampl's history is fascinating, though too long to recount here. I highly recommend you look into his inspiring story.
Details.....The bracelet is 7.5" long and 3.6mm wide. The lock measures .50" by .70". The piece weighs 5.5 grams. In Very Good Vintage Condition. Small imperfections are to be expected in vintage and antique pieces and are considered part of their charm.
