This ring highlights what appears to be an antique Greek coin, it bears resemblance to the drachma, but as of now we believe it is a reproduction. Nevertheless, it is definitely a very beautiful 900 fine gold coin. The obverse displays a handsome young man in profile, with hyacinthine locks and curling horns. The reverse displays an owl, traditionally the representative of the Goddess Athena and her city Athens. This coin is set in a gorgeous 18k yellow gold setting. It is framed in three rows of rope detail, with elegant knot detail at the shoulders and a graceful double band. Circa 1950.
