Rosy Wide Gold Birmingham Band 1886
In the 19th century this style of wide decorated band was referred to as a "Cigar Band" and it was quite popular. There was much variety in available designs and this lovely example is decorated with rays and suns on a polished background. The mellow gold is slightly rosy. Hallmarked for 9ct gold Birmingham 1886-87.
Details.....Currently a size 6, this band can not be sized. The ring measures 6.8mm wide. Good Antique Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels, we consider it part of the charm.
