A sassy beetle brooch, the 14k gold insect is enamelled in bright colors and set with four sparkling diamonds. He is very naturalistic; his wing cases are enamelled in red, his pronutum is yellow, and his mandibles are black. Wait a second, this beetle is female! Her dainty mandibles give her away. The diamonds are graduated in size, set vertically down her abdomen. The pin is secured with a classic Victorian c-clasp. This little lady is lightweight, the perfect size for a lapel. Circa 1880.
Details.....The brooch measures .72" by 1". In Very Good Antique Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels; we consider it a part of their charm.
