Snakes and vines wind and slither around in the 14k yellow gold setting of this circa 1900 ring. The ring is set with a beautifully carved carnelian intaglio depicting a handsome soldier with an open mouthed snake atop the helmet. I've had many intaglios over the years but this is the first with a snake topped helmet.
Details.....Currently a size 4. The ring may be sized up or down two sizes free of charge. Please contact us if you need this ring sized more than two sizes, it may be possible and will have a small fee. The front of the ring measures 19.9mm x 16mm and the band measures 2mm at the back. In Very Good Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels, we consider it part of the charm.
