A Man in the Moon carved moonstone, wrapped in a 14k white gold bezel and suspended on a dainty chain. We love his tranquil face, smiling serenely at the universe. Moonstone has an ethereal optical quality called adularescence, caused by light scattering through its microscopic layers. Moonstones carved into the face of the Man in the Moon were very popular during the Art Nouveau era, an aesthetic which valued romance and mystery. This exquisite pendant has a ring bale and hangs on a 14k recycled white gold rope chain. Circa 1910.

Details.....The pendant measures 12mm in diameter and the chain is 16" long. In Very Good Antique Condition. You should expect some wear on antique and vintage jewels, we consider it part of their charm.
