This pretty early 20th century Lavalier is shaped like a Lyre and completely covered in 1/2 pearls. There are also 2 round 1/2 drilled pearls, one set to either side, and a classic baroque American River pearl set Pendant style hanging from the bottom.
This is a truly American piece of Jewelry, signed by Krementz, a prolific Newark New Jersey Jewelry manufacturer of the late 1800's and early 1900's, and set with American River Pearls. The majority of small pearls used in American Jewelry of this period came either from the Mississippi or Tennessee Rivers.
